Louisa has been practising law for 15 years, and has a broad range of legal experience in commercial law, employment law, governance and compliance, intellectual property, contract drafting, wills and estates and family law.
Louisa began her career at the Sydney office of global law firm Baker & McKenzie. She then took a role at the Cancer Council to establish a free national legal service for financially disadvantaged cancer patients, a program for which Louisa was named Australian Young Lawyer of the Year in 2011. She subsequently acted as the Cancer Council’s General Counsel and Company Secretary, before being appointed Chief Operating Officer of the Lowy Institute, and subsequently Chief Operating Officer of accounting firm Prime Partners. She moved from Sydney to Orange in late 2019 with her family and joined Cheney Suthers in 2020.
Louisa has a Bachelor of Arts, a Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours, a Master of Public Health and a Master of International Studies, all from the University of Sydney. She is currently completing a Master of Applied Law in Family Law.
Outside of the law, Louisa has a small farm outside Orange, and enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two young sons.
